First Day At Senior High School
By the way, this is the first time I write since a long time
huhu… :( and the first time I write a
story in English hehe ,
well then let’s start the story…
And so many other things that make me feel overjoyed to be with them in SHS :’) I will never forget you all my friends :D
Be4 the story
There are big differencies between Aloy students and BPK students in characteristic. IMHO Aloy student is much more kind and sociable than BPK students. Some act that really shocked me because it is only happened in my first day at Aloy:
- One of them, a stranger ask me to sit next to him and make friends with me, even though he is failed on the 10th grade.
- Inviting me to play basketball, even though I can’t.
- Have fun with me
I’m very excited about my new school, saint Aloysius. It is
located on Sultan Agung Street. I can’t wait to start my new chapter in life
with my new school and new friends. I wonder if I will meet someone that I
already knew, someone from other island, and many other students from different
schools in Bandung or even in Indonesia. In fact, Saint Aloysius SHS is one of
the best schools in Bandung so it won’t be a surprised if many students from
all over Indonesia are interested in Saint Aloysius SHS.
I wake up in the morning in the first day of MPLS(MPLS is a
kind of event held by school for new students. The purpose is to make students
know more about the school.). I put on my JHS uniform and get ready to school.
Yeah, the first day is only a short briefing. It’s not a though day. But there
are some stuff I must do for the next day. And maybe the stuff I’m going to
tell you is a little bit nonsense and kind of “You gotta kidding me!”. The
assignments are bringing food, make name tag, visit geological museum, and make
other things.
I’ll tell you about “Food Riddle”. It’s kind of a riddle but
actually it is a riddle hehe J.
So the student council member gave us the riddle such as same side beverage,
lem terbang, lingua lacoste, etc. I confused at the very first time, very
confused. But I didn’t give up. And I did something really “tricky”. While the
other thinking about the answer, I’m asking my friends for the answers. In
conclusion, I didn’t think at all to find the answers. I’m just asking my
friends. But it really interesting and challenging too. Actually after the
first day, I know the pattern of this riddle, it can be a Latin word, brands,
translated brand or the brand which is pronounced in other way(such as lem
terbang, it is known as lem IBOND, but it can be read like “Abon”)
The food riddle is not the real problem. The problem started
when we must eat all of the food. Yeah, we must eat all of the food we brought
in specific time, maybe just 10 minutes. You can imagine how did you feel when
you eat something in condition like under pressure(because the SC member yell to
us “eat all the food”, “Don’t hide the food if you can’t eat it all”, “Do you
want some food, your friend can’t do it”). At that time, I felt nauseous I
don’t have any appetite for the first day I brought too much food but once
again I succeeded to hide the food haha J and SC didn’t notice it. But some of my friends
bring a lot of food such as crackers, not one but one pack, cucumber(not a
slice of cucumber), one liter of milk(not a glass of milk), and well I
whispered in my heart “Oh Thanks God, I didn’t bring so much food as they did.”
I saw them eat all the food in panic. The lesson from the first day for this
kind of riddle is “Don’t bring too much food. Bring a little bit less than
enough.”.
The other task is ask for SC signature in our book. Maybe
you think “Such an easy task”… --“ well, I’ll tell you, it can’t be a tortured
if you think so, but if you enjoyed it, it is a very very fun and funny task…
:D I’ll tell you briefly what I did to get the signature from some of SC
members:
· - Sing a song with the dance in front of many
people.
· - Sing a TV-ads which is very popular at that time
is Mangosteen skin extract is here(Kulit manggis kini ada ekstraknya) with a
different ROCK arrangement. Yeah I remembered that I play “guitar”, two other
friends played “drum”, “bass guitar”, and sing the song. It’s very funny
though.
· - Some of SC wanted a specific number, such as
number 7. But so many wanted number 7 so that’s become a problem or even they
didn’t want to sign it if we crossed the previous name.

Okay let’s move on from the task to the other thing that
should I say the “FURIOUS RAGE ATMOSPHERE”. Yeah, I had heard some stories of
orientation in Indonesia like the SC will angry at us, yelled at us and many
other things that actuall really test your mental strength. so, after I
observed, there are some session that really planned by them to yell at us.
They yell at us about our badly done assignment or our mistakes. But I felt
like wow my heart rate is increasing and my legs are shaking… (Love this kind
of feeling). Yep, I don’t want to tell you so much about this part of the
story.
And finally one of the very very interesting task for the
last day is make a “Love Letter” and “Hate Letter”. Love letter must be stamped
with lips, and hate letter with toe stamp. I don’t have any problem with it I did
it smoothly… but one one of the love letters and hate letters is chosen to be
read in front of the batch. Luckily, mine is not chosen . Pheww J
Yeah that’s all the story about MPLS.
Hmm there is something more I want to tell you be4 I end
