Trick on Answering Multiple Choices EXAM

Hi, I know some of you are having a difficult when answering multiple choices question on exam. Sometime we confuse when we pick out one choice.  The multiple choices exam will be easy to us if the problem maker (exam question) is lazy, it can be seen when we see the multiple choice, and the choices are not connected to the question.

For example:

How many legs if there are 60 goats and 10 chickens?
A. 10 legs
B. 60 legs
C. 260 legs
D. 70 legs

We can know the answer directly. C is the answer. Now I’ll teach you to mind why C is the best answer.

First, look to choice A, there are 10 chicken, if we count the number of chicken legs only there are 10 x 2 legs = 20 legs, then it makes choice A incorrect. Second, look to B choice, 60 is equal to number of GOATS not LEGS. Third, 70 are equal to number of goats and chicken, not their legs!

The other way is to count it directly.
(60 x 4 legs) + (10 x 2 legs) =
240 legs + 20 legs = 260 legs

That just easy question, now I want to try to explain to you to answer the secondary physics question. The question is like this:

So that the suction in the picture below remains balanced, the compressive force on F2 is …
~1a` pompa hidrolik.jpg
F1
50 N
F2
?
A1
5 m2
A2
0.2 m2

A. 2 N
B. 55 N
C. 250 N
D. 100 N
We know that liquids pressed any direction. Its mean pressure on A1 height same as on A2. We use basic Hydrostatic pressure formula ().
Now we make the equation.

We must to UNDERSTAND the fundamentals because knowing the fundamentals will help you to understand physics problems.

*) If we don’t know the formula or forget how to make the equation this is how you can mind the problem. We need to use our LOGIC! As I've said before we have to understand the fundamentals of the problems that we will answer. Steps as below:
1.       We know that if A1 is smaller than A2 then the force on A2 will bigger (The smaller A1, The larger force on F2) – We same amount of F1. And vice versa (like problem above A1 is bigger than A2)
2.        Because A1 is BIGGER than A2 so we need MORE F1 to lift F2. (F1 > F2 because A1 > A2)
3.       Base on the multiple choices we see that choice A number is smaller than F1 number.
4.       So we can consider to choose A.

That’s on physics now I’ll try to discuss on biology question as below.

Look at names of the bones below:
1.       Skull bones
2.       Hummers
3.       Tibia
4.       Vertebral Column
5.       Ulna
6.       Radius
7.       Fibula
8.       Femur

Which numbers are long bones?
A.1, 2, 5, 7
B.8, 5, 3, 1
C.4, 1, 3, 2
D.5, 6, 7, 8

Above there are so many bones name’ you don’t know. How to answer this question?

First Solution
Find the choice that contains same number. We can find that in choice A, B, C there are number 1. Number 1 is skull bones. Now ask this question to yourself “Is Skull bones shape is long ore like a pipe?” If you use your LOGIC correctly you must be said NO. Skull bones are irregular bones. So we know that choice A, B, and C are wrong. WE CAN PICK OUT CHOICE D EVEN WE DON’T KNOW THE BONES SHAPE OF NUMBER 5, 6, 7, 8!

Second Solution
We only know the shape of number 1 and 4 only, irregular bones. Than we eliminate the choices contains number 1 and 4.

CONCLUSION
1.       We must UNDERSTAND the fundamentals.
2.       Look carefully to the multiple choices.
3.       Think back before pick out the best answer.
4.       Use our LOGIC!

WARNING!!!
Don’t use this trick if you don’t understand the fundamentals. Do not rely on this method to answer questions about Olympiad or the final exam.
